How do I make a reservation?
Reserve the moving van in advance. Schedule it for the number of hours you will be doing your loading, driving and unloading. On Saturdays, U-Haul© schedules so that more than one family can use the van during the day..
With a credit card, cash or check, you can reserve the equipment for the hours you need. If your equipment is not returned by another family, we'll either find you another piece of equipment, help you schedule your move during different hours or let you know where you can pick it up nearby.
You must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid drivers license and provide two forms of meaningful assurance that our equipment will be returned as agreed..
Are there certain days when U-Haul© can schedule me to have the equipment all day?
You bet! Renting Sunday through Thursday generally gives you a better chance for a longer rental. Fridays and Saturdays, especially at the end of the month, are the busiest moving times.
I can't take care of personal business during work. Are you open on weekends?
We are open on Saturdays.
Do I really need to pick up the moving van on time?
I recommend you arrive and return on time. Your equipment was waiting for you because someone else returned it on time. If you're late when returning your van, there will be an additional charge. Most important, please call us. Another family is counting on you to return on time.
Do I need to return the van where I rented it?
Yes U-Haul© has scheduled your departure and return. We will be renting this equipment to another family when you bring it back.
What if I must return the equipment after business hours?
Park the van legally. Lock all rental tools inside the van box and drop off the ignition key, the lock key and a copy of the contract in the designated drop-off spot. Contact the location the next day to receive any remaining estimated charges or discuss additional charges to your credit card. Refueling costs and any estimated damage chares are your responsibilities.
